Born and raised in St. Louis County, Bob attended St. Catherine’s for grade school, Vianney High School and then St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. “My Christian upbringing has emphasized treating others like you want to be treated. I hope we all strive to make this a part of our everyday life.”
The family has always been involved in trucking and Bob bought his first truck at only 19 years old. He successfully owned and operated Baron’s Express until selling in 2016. “It was great getting to work with family all those years. I also learned about how excessive government regulation hurts small business and ultimately the consumer. Trucks touch just about everything we buy. If government regulation makes it more expensive for trucking companies, that price eventually gets passed on to the consumer in the form of higher prices.”
After selling Baron’s, Bob was fortunate to be able to spend a great deal of time with his Mom before she passed away in 2018. Currently, he works part-time in transportation, consulting as well as driving a few days a month.
